• Brokerage company Mobinvest Oradea came under the supervision of a special administrator, by a decision of the National Securities Commission (CNVM) while the general manager and the representative of the control compartment were suspended for a period of three years, respectively two years. The CNVM appointed the Dinu Urse şi Asociaţii company as special administrator of the Oradea-based company, according to the decision taken by the regulatory institution.

• The manufacturer of parts and accessories for vehicles Mefin Sinaia achieved a net profit of 238,955 lei in the first half of the year, as against a loss of 35,734 lei after the first six months of 2007, informed the company. The net turnover decreased from 14.28 million lei in the first quarter of 2007, to 13.47 million lei in the period January-June of this year, shows Mefin's financial report.

• Petrolexportimport Bucharest registered revenue of 23.31 million lei in the first semester, up 9%, as compared to the level of 21.3 million lei in the similar period last year, while losses grew by 46%. Thus, the company has concluded the first six months with a loss of 1.84 million lei, in comparison with a negative result of 1.26 million lei last year, according to the financial report submitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.

• On Friday, the BCR employees affiliated to the Independent Trade Union Federation (FSI) of the banking institution ended the Japanese strike started three days before, and will start negotiations with management representatives next week.

• The Titan company from the Pantelimon commune, Ilfov county, reported a net profit of 2.8 million lei (775,500 euros) for the first six months, 2.8 times less, as compared to the earnings of 8.04 million lei reported for the first half of 2007, in the context of a 45.2% increase in revenues. For the period January-June, the company reported total revenues higher by 45.2%, from 107.9 million lei to 156.8 million lei (42.7 million euros), while company expenditure registered an advance of 54.5% to 153.4 million lei (41.8 million euros), as compared to 99.3 million lei last year, reveal Titan's half-year results transmitted to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
