• Romania risks to lose European financing for the groups of producers from the vegetables and fruit sector, because the Ministry of Agriculture conditions this aid to a sale of at least one million euros per year, 20 times more than the real capacity of the groups existent in the market.
• Raiffeisen Asset Management, the asset management company within the Raiffeisen Bank group, launched on Wednesday the Raiffeisen România Actiuni mutual fund, and will launch in September its fourth administered fund, Raiffeisen Confort, the company announced.
• BenQ Romania, the local branch of the electronics manufacturer BenQ, registered a 40% growth in its sales in the first semester of this year, on the background of an increase in the notebook, photo cameras and projectors segments, according to a release issued by the company on Wednesday
• GE Money, General Electric's division of retail financial services, appointed Ronald Malak as Executive General manager of the Romanian subsidiary, replacing Mark Hampson, who assured the ad-interim from the start of the year.
• New Europe Property Investments company is willing to be listed, on 22 August, on the AIM market, administered by the London Stock Exchange, and use most of the funds resulted for investments in the Romanian real estate market.
• SRI representative Eugen Iorga declared, on Wednesday, during the hearings in the Senate's Juridical Commission, that there are companies making illegal communication interceptions, which later resort to blackmail, of "public figures" inclusive.
• Romania keeps its second place as number of complaints to the European Court of Human Rights, after Russia; last year the judges of this High Court condemned the Bucharest Government in 73 cases, and this year they have already delivered sentences in 43 cases regarding complaints of Romanian citizens.
